Generous Hospitality

Scripture (NIV)

The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul's message.
Acts 16:14 (NIV)

Message

Lydia heard the gospel and immediately opened her home. Faith becomes real in what you share and who you welcome.

Practice

Invite one person into your home, your table, or your time this week.

Prayer

Lord, open my heart and then open my door. Use what I have. Amen.

Lived out

Short practices that fit Lydia's virtue of generous hospitality.

A practice to try

Cooking for one more

We started making extra at dinner without deciding who it was for. Someone almost always turns out to need it, a neighbour, a student, a friend having a bad month. Hospitality got much easier once it was already in the pot rather than a plan I had to make.

TRY TODAY

Make or buy one extra portion this week and give it to someone before you overthink it.

Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practise hospitality.

Romans 12:13 (NIV)
